Recognizing the need for even the youngest members of our community to have a prepared environment and time to work within it each week, RMS is excited to offer Toddler Time and Toddler Atrium, beginning in the fall of 2010.
These two-hour sessions are open to children ages 12 months to 3 years accompanied by a parent and are intended to give parents the opportunity to quietly witness the wonder of being a child... by observing their own children. There is no better way to be reminded of God’s presence in our lives than to watch the excitement and determination with which our children greet even the simplest tasks.
Toddler Time will include work with puzzles and sensorial materials that are specially designed for the smallest hands, as well as care of self and of the environment. Parents are invited to follow the lead of the children as they explore and master the challenges within their prepared space.
Toddler Atrium will follow Toddler Time on the next consecutive day. This ground-breaking program, based on the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, will cultivate in toddlers their profound capacity to enjoy God's gifts and His creation.
This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and toddlers to work together. Additionally, those children who continue in a Montessori Children's House will have a solid foundation laid for them. Families are invited to enroll in either or both programs; series will last for seven weeks and will meet for two hours per day, once a week.
